MP visits APPG on Horse Racing and Bloodstock

Chris Davies MP recently had an amazing trip to Lambourn to join the APPG on Horse Racing and Bloodstock. The visit included a tour of Lambourn with Top Flat Trainer Jamie Osborne and a very informative visit to his Old Malthouse Yard where he could see up to date veterinary science being combined with traditional training methods on the yard and working on the Gallops. Whilst touring the village Chris called in on Oliver Sherwood and got to meet the Grand National Winner 'Many Clouds' who looked fabulous.

One of the highlights was his visit to The Oaksey House rehabilitation centre owned and run by The Injured Jockeys Fund and to see all the excellent work they do there.

Chris Davies MP said:

"It was lovely to round off a most informative day with Jamie, Merrick Francis owner of LRT and Chair of Lambourn Trainers Association (and son of the legendary author Dick) and HM the Queen's Newmarket Trainer William Haggas"

"Up until then I thought I knew a great deal about the horse industry but with these hosts there is still so much to learn"
