On Thursday 23rd February at 9.30am a peaceful protest will be taking place outside Powys County Hall in Llandrindod Wells, before the full council meeting begins at 10.30.
Cllr Aled Davies the Conservative leader on Powys County Council will be forwarding a motion on the day for the LDP issue to be discussed by all councillors.
Chris Davies MP said:
“As many of you know, I have recently held a large rally of just under 200 people at the community centre in Newbridge-on-Wye a fortnight ago. This was to discuss the topic of LDP expansion in Brecon and Radnorshire.
At the time of the planned protest next week I will be proudly representing the people of Brecon and Radnorshire in Parliament. I will be attending, committees, meetings and debates in the house. So I will not be able to attend the protest in person.
I would urge anyone who has concerns over the LDP proposals to attend this protest and bring along anyone else who is of the same thought. It is vital that we show the independently run Powys County Council Cabinet that the people of Brecon and Radnorshire will not accept their ludicrous proposals”.
